Privacy notice
Shops handle their customers' devices, so trust is part of the product. This is what we collect and what we never touch.
Who is responsible
NextProbe Ltd is the controller for the website and for your account. For the customer details a shop records on its jobs, the shop is the controller and NextProbe is its processor under a data processing agreement.
What we collect, and why
- Account
- Your email, name and sign-in method, to run your account and bill your plan. Billing runs through Stripe, which holds card details; we see the last four digits and the invoice.
- Sessions
- Answers, readings, notes, photos you attach, the diagnosis and the fix, to run the session, sync it between your devices and build your reports.
- Jobs
- The customer reference, name and device a shop records on a ticket. These live on the job and the workspace only and are never copied onto readings, fix records or shared case data.
- Contributed data
- Anonymised fix records and readings, with every customer and workspace detail removed, to improve reference values and fault trees for every bench. Off per workspace if you prefer.
- Website forms
- What you type into the contact, enterprise and creator forms, and the page you sent it from, to reply to you. Your address is used to limit abuse of the forms and is not stored.
- Website analytics
- A cookieless count of page views: the path, the referring site, a screen-size bucket and the time. No identifier, no fingerprint. See the cookie notice.
- Logs
- Structured logs and crash reports on every service, with no board files and no customer details in them.
What we never collect
Your boardviews and schematics. They are opened and parsed on your device and never reach us.
Where data lives
Platform data is hosted in the UK or the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest, and backed up every hour with backups kept for 35 days.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account, then deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Anonymised contributed data has no link back to you and is kept. Form submissions are kept for two years.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to processing, and take it elsewhere. Export and deletion are built into the account and answered within 30 days. Write to privacy@nextprobe.ai, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK or your local authority in the EU.
